Dog behaviour support, for when life with your dog feels harder than it should

Maybe your dog has reacted towards another dog or a person, and it shook you.

Maybe the neighbours have mentioned the barking.

Or walks have become something to dread rather than enjoy, because your dog pulls, or won’t come back, or seems frightened of everything you pass.

Maybe it’s smaller than that, but it still weighs on you: toileting indoors, refusing to get in the car, panicking at the vet.

You’ve probably already tried a few things. You might be exhausted, a bit embarrassed, and wondering what you did wrong.

You didn't do anything wrong. Dogs are complicated, and so are the lives we share with them.

A behaviour plan built around your dog, and you

I work with you and your dog together. Not just the behaviour you want to change, but the relationship underneath it. That means looking at the whole picture: how your dog is feeling, how you're feeling, and what's realistic for both of you.

The details

Here's what you need to know

Locations

My dog behaviourist services are offered in Ayrshire, East Kilbride, Glasgow South Side and online.

Session length & schedule

Sessions are face to face in your own home, lasting around an hour.

There’s no fixed schedule. We work at your dog’s pace, though fortnightly tends to work well for most people.

Support in between sessions

After each session, I’ll send you a written plan with homework, so you know exactly what to focus on before we meet again.

Typical costs

In person behaviour support starts from £469, which typically covers 2 to 3 months of work.

A more in-depth package is £799, typically covering 4 to 5 months.

I also offer online consultations, get in touch using the contact form for a completely free no obligation call and we can work out what’s best for your needs.

Get in touch
  • How many behaviour sessions will I need?

I offer two packages, one covering 2 to 3 months and one covering 4 to 5 months, so you’ll know upfront what you’re committing to. What I can’t promise is that every goal will be fully met within that time. Some dogs need longer than others, and I’ll always be honest with you about where things stand and what’s realistic.

  • Can you guarantee my dog's behaviour will change?

No, and I think you’d be right to question anyone who does. Your dog isn’t broken, and there’s no magic wand. What I can promise is honesty, no judgement, and my full attention on getting the best outcome possible for you both.

  • I've tried training before and it didn't work. Will this be different?

Often, what looks like a training problem is actually a behaviour one. Part of what I do on our first call is work out exactly what’s going on, so we’re solving the right problem from the start.

  • Do you use aversive training methods or equipment?

No. If you’ve used something in the past that your dog clearly wasn’t comfortable with, that’s alright, and it’s more common than you’d think. We can work together to find a kinder way forward.

  • Do you offer dog behaviour support locally or online?

Both. I offer dog behaviour support in person across Ayrshire, East Kilbride and Glasgow South Side, and also online, wherever you are based.

  • What happens after I get in touch?

A free 30 min no obligation call to understand your situation and assess if I can help.
