Pawsitive Scenting Scent Club

A fun, natural activity you can do with your dog, whatever their age or experience. No previous skills needed, just curiosity and a nose to follow.

Scent work cooper and tyre

A calm, confidence-building activity for you and your dog

Scent work gives your dog a stress free way to do something entirely natural to them.

Rather than working against instinct, it taps into their innate need to search and seek, and that makes it a genuinely low impact activity, unlike more physical pursuits such as agility.

Searching has a calming effect. It can help build confidence, ease anxiety, and support dogs who find reactivity difficult.

And this isn’t something you watch from the sidelines. You and your dog work as a team, which is exactly why so many owners tell me it’s brought them closer together.

Scent work is accessible for every dog, of every age.

You don't need any previous experience, and neither does your dog.

How it works

Accessible for all dogs, all ages, so any dog can take part, regardless of breed, age or ability.

I run an induction workshop first, three hours long, to introduce you and your dog to searching for scent.

Once you’ve completed your induction, you’re welcome to join the weekly scent club, and you’ll also be added to a private Facebook group for members.

Between us, we cover passive searches, man trailing, tracking, and vehicle and building searches.

We’re outdoors through the summer, and indoors in a hired hall over winter, so the club runs right through the year.

No previous skills needed, so you and your dog can start straight away, whatever your experience.

Can support anxious or reactive dogs, so it’s worth considering even if your dog finds other settings difficult.

Cost

The induction workshop is £59.

After that, the scent club is £10 a week over summer, and £12.50 a week over winter, when we’re in a hired hall.

You pay weekly. There’s no need to book a block of sessions in advance.

Frequently asked questions

If you have any questions not answered here, please get in touch by clicking the button.

Get in touch
  • Do I need any previous experience?

No. Scent work is suitable for complete beginners, both two legged and four legged.

  • What happens over winter?

We move indoors to a hired hall, so the club continues year round.

  • Can my anxious or reactive dog take part?

Often, yes. Many owners find scent work is something their anxious or reactive dog can enjoy, even if other activities are harder for them.

  • Do I need to book a set number of sessions?

No. You pay weekly, so there’s no block booking to commit to.
